Yesterday’s Storms Killed At Least 2 People and Left Over 1 Million Without Power

Yesterday the southern states witnessed one of the most powerful line of thunderstorms in years, resulting in the death of at least 2 people, tens of thousands of downed trees, and over 1 million homes and businesses without power from Pennsylvania down to Georgia.

Here in the Carolinas, the worst effects of the storms were seen all across the piedmont, with Duke Energy still reporting over 70,000 customers without power as of 10:30am this morning.
