Harris is scheduled to arrive at Charlotte Airport around 11:30 a.m. She will participate in an event at an undisclosed location and depart by 2:30 p.m. The tour highlights the Biden administration’s efforts to increase opportunities, particularly for minority communities, ahead of the upcoming presidential election.

The visit underscores the Biden-Harris administration’s achievements during its first term, as the campaign gears up for a rematch against Donald Trump. Harris recently announced a $20 billion investment in clean energy projects during her April visit to Charlotte.

Due to Harris’s visit, the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will suspend Gold Line service between French Street and the Charlotte Transportation Center from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Road closures are expected, causing delays across all transit services.

Governor Roy Cooper will also be coming to Charlotte to join Harris for the event in Charlotte. This visit marks her fifth to the state in 2024 and her 13th since becoming vice president. Harris’s tour began in Atlanta on April 29 and continued in Detroit the following week.
