Today would have been America’s favorite Golden Girl’s 100th birthday. The late comedian and cultural icon passed away on December 31, 2021, just 17 days before her centennial milestone.
To honor her legacy and her passionate love for animals, the internet has decided to flood local animal shelters across the nation with funds in her honor.
The #BettyWhiteChallenge is now exploding in popularity, encouraging everyone to donate at least $5 to any local or national animal shelter, rescue or agency in Betty White’s name on Jan. 17th.
I just donated to @HumaneSociety to help animals (and you can too!). IN MEMORY OF BETTY WHITE! https://t.co/o1SGKtcHXh
