Panthers Defensive Back Derrek Thomas has just been placed on the COVID-19 reserve list.
The list consists of players who have tested positive for COVID-19 or who have come into close contact with someone who has the virus.
According to ESPN’s Field Yates, Thomas is one of 2 NFL players to be placed on the list over the weekend.
Two players have been added to the reserve/COVID list: Panthers DB Derrek Thomas and Saints RB Dwayne Washington. Now four players on that list around the league.

Thomas will be able to return to the team after two negative tests within a 24-hour period.
