Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont recently celebrated the grand opening of one of the largest Goodwill locations in the nation in the small city of Shelby, NC, about 40 miles west of Charlotte.
The new location was built inside an old Lidl location. The 36,000 square feet facility is 1,000 square feet larger than the 16th largest Goodwill in the nation that was recently opened in Rockingham, NC.
Shelby Goodwill features café in partnership with Kings Mountain’s Big Red’s Cafe, a rentable community room, and an entire electronics and gaming section hosted by tech store call “The GRID”.
The store will now be open Monday, Wednesday – Saturday 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., Tuesday 9 a.m. – 9 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
