Indian Trail Educator Arrested For Taking Inappropriate Photo of Primary School Student

In a significant development reported by the Union County Sheriff’s Office (UCSO), 19-year-old Hannah Embrey from Indian Trail has been arrested and charged with a felony for taking inappropriate picture of a student at the Shiloh Valley Primary School.

The investigation was initially triggered by allegations that Embrey, who worked as an instructional assistant at the school, had taken an unauthorized photograph of a student. After a thorough investigation, the USCO released their findings in a way that best protects all parties involved.

According to a press release from the USCO, “Embrey was charged with one count of Misdemeanor Peeping into a Room While Possessing a Photo Device and one count of Felony Disseminating Photo Obtained by Peeping Violation.”

Following these allegations, Union County Public Schools has taken the step of placing Embrey on administrative leave, pending a comprehensive internal review of the incident.
