Last night, the Huntersville Planning Board greenlit the development of a massive new $80 million mixed-use development just north of Sam Furr Rd.
Peak Development’s new ‘Station South’ would include 348 multifamily units — 278 apartments and at least 64 townhomes — along with 59,100 square feet of retail, commercial, and office space on a 21-acre site. The development would contain 20 total buildings, including a 25,000-square-foot parking deck, and a 25,000-square-foot central plaza.

Some board members opposed the rezoning, citing concerns about increased traffic and additional strains on infrastructure.
Peak Development previously built Caldwell Crossing in Huntersville and has other projects across Charlotte, including Loso Village, Shopton West, and Park Terrace Towns.
The proposal will now move onto further discussion on April 8th and a full town council vote potentially on April 22nd.
