Gastonia Man Discharges His Firearm While With Child At Chuck E. Cheese

Yesterday a man discharged his firearm inside a Gastonia Chuck E. Cheese restaurant near the intersection of I-85 and Cox Rd.

According to the Gastonia Police Department, the shot was believed to have been fired accidentally by a man who was accompanied by a child.

“The man put his hand in his pocket and accidentally touched the trigger as he was leaving. No injuries reported. The incident remains under investigation,” said the Gastonia Police in a public statement.

The individual left the scene before law enforcement arrived, leading to an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
