Fort Mill Was Just Ranked As One of The Most Desirable Suburbs in America

An increasing number of Americans are choosing suburban living over city life, with one-third preferring suburban environments in 2025, according to a new MoveBuddha report.

The new report ranked the Charlotte suburb of Fort Mill as the 8th most sought-after suburb in the America for 2025. The ranking is based on a 1.67 move-in-to-out ratio, showing strong interest from new residents.

Fort Mill’s appeal lies in its close proximity to Charlotte, while also offering the lower taxes and cost of living that South Carolina offers, as well as some of the best schools in the Carolinas.

The top-ranked suburbs in the 2025 MoveBuddha report also includes the Carolina suburbs of Summerville, South Carolina, Cary, NC, and Chapel Hill.
