The fire is now 92% contained thanks to overnight rain and ongoing firefighting efforts. The fire has burned a total of 730 acres so far. Crews are continuing work to achieve full containment, with additional rainfall expected through Wednesday to help extinguish it.

A massive wildfire is now Crowders Mountain State Park in Gaston County.
