Last night, the Panthers finalized a deal with the NY Jets to trade their 2021 6th round pick, 2022 2nd round pick, and 2022 4th round pick, all in exchange for Jets QB Sam Darnold.
The Panthers confirmed the trade yesterday evening on Twitter:

In a press conference, Panthers GM Scott Fitterer said that the trade was mostly about giving our offense solid options.
“I just think that in this offense, with the weapons we have around him, that he can take that next step with us,” Fitterer said.

Last season, Darnold threw for 2,208 yards, 9 touchdowns, and a 59% completion of his throws for the Jets. He has thrown for 8,097 yards, 45 touchdowns, and 39 interceptions so far in his career.
What do you think about the trade? Do you think Darnold might be better than Teddy Bridgewater?
