Cam Newton Blames Offense For Last Night’s 14-20 Loss Against The Bucs

The Carolina Panthers fell to 0-2 after their second game of the regular season last night against the Tampa Bay Bucs with a final score of 14-20.

They did get a good number of looks with a total of 352 offensive yards, but after going 3-14 on 3rd downs, and 0-3 in the red zone, the yardage just wasn’t enough.

In a post game press conference, Cam Newton said that most of the blame rests squarely on the Panthers’ offense;

“It’s hard to look defensive guys in the eyes after a game like this…offensively we didn’t hold up our end of the bargain. That’s the obvious. We just didn’t uphold our end…”

The blame might rest more than usually on Cam himself, as his rushing may be a crucial factor in the Panthers success.

Last week’s game Cam rushed for negative yards and last nights game, he only rushed twice for a total of 0 yards.

The Panthers are now 0-7 when Cam Newton only rushes twice during the game.
