An armored Brinks truck flipped over on Interstate 485 in southwest Charlotte Monday afternoon, causing traffic delays during rainy conditions.
The crash occurred on I-485 Outer near Exit 4 (Steele Creek Road). Emergency responders transported two people to the hospital with minor injuries, according to Medic officials.
Authorities have not yet confirmed if any money was lost in the accident, according to Queen City News.
Yesterday’s accident is eerily similar to a 2023 crash in north Charlotte, where an armored truck spilled cash across Sunset Road near Interstate 77.
That crash led to significant traffic congestion as drivers attempted to collect the scattered money.
