Numerous fire departments are now battling a wildfire that has already grown to 175 acres in NC McDowell County in the Turkey Cove area. As of 8 a.m. Wednesday, fire officials said the fire remains 0% contained.
Evacuation orders are in place for residents on Wild Acres Road near NC Highway 226 around Little Switzerland.

This marks the second wildfire in the Armstrong Creek Road area this year. In February, a separate blaze burned about 50 acres of McDowell County.
