Football Legend Mike Ditka’s Catalina Kitchen in Charlotte has just been named one of the best new restaurants in America, according to Yelp’s annual list.
This coastal-inspired dining spot, located in the Elizabeth neighborhood, is part of NFL legend Mike Ditka’s restaurant group. The menu features Southern-influenced dishes like Carolina Sunburst Farms trout, short rib ragu pappardelle, and a spicy fried chicken sandwich. It also offers a raw bar, salads, and craft drinks, with over 60 wines and 10 local beers on tap.
Catalina occupies a 5,800-square-foot space with multiple seating options and free parking at Elizabeth on Seventh St. Open seven days a week, the restaurant plans to introduce brunch and a social hour menu soon.
Catalina is the only North Carolina restaurant on Yelp’s prestigious list, solidifying Charlotte’s status as a growing culinary hub.
