One of the most expensive homes in the Charlotte region just hit the Lake Norman real estate market for $12 million.

The sprawling mansion sits on Belle Isle Drive in Cornelius, about 20 miles north of Charlotte.

The property spans over 7,200 square feet and includes smart-home automation, a glass wine cellar, floor-to-ceiling windows, and retractable doors that blend indoor and outdoor living spaces with lake views.

The estate includes a 1.44-acre lot with 365 feet of shoreline on Lake Norman, along with a pool house with a full kitchen, wet bar, and living area.

The Lake Norman real estate market has continued to outpace the broader Charlotte market in spite of the increase in traffic largely due to the investments the towns around the lake have been making. It was even ranked as one of the most beautiful lakes in America by Insider magazine:
