Switchyards Selects Charlotte To Launch Unique ‘Neighborhood Work Club’ Network

Switchyards, the world’s first 24/7 neighborhood work club that’s been blowing up across Atlanta and Nashville, has just selected Charlotte as their new home and expansion city.

Switchyards recently secured a $5 million capital investment, which will enable it to launch 200 new clubs over the next five years. This investment is spearheaded by Bullpen Capital, with participation from existing investor Cercano and Overline, as confirmed by CEO and founder Michael Tavani.

Charlotte is a clear fit for their unique business model, with the work-from-home model now dominating most companies around the Queen City, there’s been an increasing demand for something more social than co-working and more reliable than a corner coffee shop.

  • Every “All-City” Switchyards $100/month membership includes:
    • 24/7 access to all current and future clubs, including 10 in Atlanta + 3 in East Nashville + 2 in Charlotte + 200 more to be added soon
    • Bottomless coffee and tea
    • High-speed fiber internet
    • Bookable phone booths and meeting rooms, at no extra cost
    • New members get 8 days for $12 to start

With the address of Switchyards’ first 2 Charlotte locations being announced for historic buildings in the increasingly trendy Belmont (1125 Belmont Avenue – opening on May 16th) and Oakhurst (4014 Monroe Road – opening on June 6th), the new concept is well positioned to help the Queen City become a leader in how business will get done in the future.

There are only 250 memberships total available for each club, and their last 4 clubs have sold out in early access. Drop day for ‘early access’ Charlotte memberships will be May 7th at 10AM.
