In their latest game, the Panthers suffered a 28-6 defeat against the Saints at the Caesars Superdome, dropping their season record to 1-12.

The team’s strong defense and running game, with Chuba Hubbard leading the charge, were overshadowed by a lackluster passing offense. Quarterback Bryce Young struggled, completing only 13 of 36 passes for 137 yards, hampered by dropped balls.

The offensive line’s instability continued to be a problem, with Justin McCray leaving early due to injury and Young being sacked four more times, totaling 48 sacks this season. Despite a promising interception by Derrick Brown before halftime, the Panthers failed to capitalize on the opportunity, missing four consecutive passes.

Brown’s standout performance, along with contributions from Frankie Luvu and Jaycee Horn, highlighted the defense. However, special teams faltered with Johnny Hekker’s blocked punt leading to a touchdown and Eddy Piñeiro missing a field goal. Despite an injury, Hekker returned to finish the game.

The Panthers will be taking on the Atlanta Falcons this coming Sunday in Uptown Charlotte.
