Texas-based Buc-ee’s has identified a new location off Interstates 85/40 for their first ever mega gas station in North Carolina.
The company is planning on building a 75,440-square-foot store with up to 120 gas pumps, and 8 diesel exhaust fluid pumps, several restaurants, retail, and offices.
The new site will be located at 1447 Trollingwood-Hawfields Road in the 1,200-acre N.C. Commerce Park.
Buc-ee’s new site plan and traffic impact analysis are under review by Mebane officials and the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT).
There is one Buc-ee’s location in South Carolina, which was opened in 2020 in Florence, SC (although not nearly as big as the newly proposed NC location).
