Yesterday the Charlotte Hornets used their prized 2nd pick in the 2023 NBA Draft to select Brandon Miller, a promising small forward with a dynamic record hailing from Alabama.
The SEC Player of The Year should significantly help the Hornets defensively with his impressive his size, reach, and speed.
My actual thoughts on Brandon Miller as a Hornet:
No, I still don’t think he’s a better prospect than Scoot Henderson is, and that’s okay.
I think Miller will still fit well with Charlotte despite, Scoot being the better player.
I’m excited to see how his shooting translates… pic.twitter.com/D4lgSCM0Q4

Miller, a distinguished player at Cane Ridge High School in Antioch, Tennessee, won the Gatorade Tennessee Player of the Year in his junior and senior years. As a five-star recruit, he was one of the top prospects in the 2022 class.
During his freshman year at Alabama, he led the conference with an average of 18.8 points per game, also averaging 8.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists. He received the SEC Player of the Year, the USBWA National Freshman of the Year, and the NABC Freshman of the Year awards.
Despite Alabama’s loss in the third round of the NCAA Tournament and a personal low shooting score of just 19% from the field, Miller decided to go pro, making him one of the 2023 NBA Draft’s top picks.
