A 9-car pile-up has just shut down Wilkinson Boulevard this morning.
Emergency responders from CMPD, MEDIC, and Charlotte Fire were at the scene to assist, MEDIC has confirmed that at least 4 people have been reported injured so far.
Significant traffic delays were reported, with backups extending into Gaston County, according to the NC Department of Transportation’s online map. Motorists were advised to avoid the area and use Moores Chapel Road as an alternate route to access Interstate 85. Crews are working to clear the scene.

The airport has even issued an official alert warning passengers to plan for more time in traveling to the airport.
